Aspects of winning are applied differently in every faucet of life. To play sports or compete with debate teams the respect is in the title. Whilst our lives are not competitive games which is why we set the terms of what the win is for our life’s project. Moments to compete. A win is to protect our soul but when there is no boundary in compete, we allow spiritual battles to dirty the water of fine lines.
We compare what we expect for the person we wish to be in this one life given to the context of a ball game. It is two different games one played with the one in the mirror and the other is our chance to flex. When confusing the two we at times look away from our first game in the mirror and look over at another’s reflection to reflect on their flaws. Projecting our flaws through their image while our mirror we reject.
The disconnect is the stretch of turning healthy competition into excuses to destroy the lives of whoever comes next. At what cost is a ‘win’ worth? Though a better question is it still a win when the cost is overpriced? Or if we block competitors with the ability to rise to the challenge? When we tear down to avoid going against the best, it is not a win but a forfeit in a hidden text.
To compete against another and be a true winner the first win has to be in our own reflection. Preparing ourselves to handle adversity for if we fail our morals help us to build the talents we possess. In such a way that we don’t have to look away from the steps taken to attain and maintain our success. When your win goes beyond an image, but you are a homemade video with real sweat.
Observing the weekend as a time to kickback, a time for the stress of the week to collapse. Excitement starts to build on Friday because at 5pm a symbol of freedom starts to ring. Even when you are an entrepreneur who continues 7 days a week all major businesses still close and most due payments will hold until Monday. When offices close the bar opens and we stay up late some faded until daybreak.
While some of us just stay up late eating ice cream and cake. No diet today. For me a fun day is waking up early getting dressed with no plans allowing the day to lead the way. Stepping outside with a fresh cup of coffee and speaking to familiar faces in route to explore new places. Unaware of what the day may bring in a big city with new people on every scene. With wide eyes I am intrigued by the many different vibes in a crowd.
Loud sounds, surrounded by laughter, so much joy allowing me the invisibility to just be. To exist with no stress or expectations. No bounds. Just walking, stopping at beautiful cafes with an outside lounge I take breaks as I wonder around. Breathing in the air, fulfilling its vow, vitalized by the new day’s sun. Remembering to bow in my thoughts to the creator of the earth. Happiness fills my heart as I mumble the words ‘Thank You’ from my mouth.
Ever notice how free it feels to be in a crowd? It is like when there are so many people together, little things no longer matter. The friend that talks about everyone is finally speechless because everyone become like fast moving pieces. Stopping at interesting eateries with friendly cashiers I am happy with my chosen meal. Meeting a friend, we sit under trees talking about life and who we used to and wish to be. Bouncing off the ideas of one another we plan new ventures to cover.
Walking together stopping at every place that says welcome. Being a voice for each other making us allowed to enter due to a convincing vouch. Feeling more bold with my friend I feel invincible, there is no need to crotch. Feeling confident we walk in and out. Just before the sun goes down we walk home with the discovery of new routes. Getting lost multiple times because our adventures are always new but finding explore worthy views.
