Ariah
“Hi Lady Ariah, how is it going?” Things are well. Everyone here is helping me to become accustomed. “Well, that is great to hear. This marriage will be a symbol of Yisraem’s strength.” Thank you for such kind words. I am most honored of the way you and others have made me to feel welcome here. As I sit waiting on Irik to show, it seems that I have spoken to many villagers that come to visit inside of King JoLe’s gates.
This does feel awkward I must admit. Before this, I honestly saw myself possibly moving out to live amongst Torro and the villagers that live on his land. The freedom and wisdom that is poured over the people on Torro’s land is fulfilling to the soul. Making you feel like you are connected spiritually, mentally, and physically to Elohiym and the earth at all times. It is like you can smell the fruit on the trees better. While also being able to feel the little veins in a leaf. Even thinking about it makes me wonder when will it be okay to visit again.
At least two hours have passed and Irik is yet to arrive. It really makes me wonder about what Queen Iza said to me this morning. When she said my only purpose is to smile or something to that extent. It seems that my friends from before are disappearing while I become a shadow to Queen Iza. That won’t be the case for me. Why am I drawing invisible lines for myself due to the insecurities and unrealistic expectations. You know what I am going to have a horseman to prepare a carriage for me and take me over to Torro’s land.
I really do miss the villagers there whom I have become quite close to many. Hey there Mr. Sevo, if you don’t mind could you please prepare a horse and carriage for me as I have matters to attend to outside of the gates. “Lady Ariah, now that you are to be wife to our King, you could be targeted by Hysieng spies. It wouldn’t be safe for you to roam the village without the Guardsmen.” Mr. Sevo, I will stay inside of the carriage. Could you please do this favor for me. Or else I would have to walk. “Hold on, Hold on, now if you must go. I will take you where you wish.”
Thank you, Mr. Sevo. Mr. Sevo comes back around with the carriage. Since I have been here, I have only road in a carriage fit for royalty. Since Mr. Sevo is a wise man, he has prepared a carriage fit for any villager. As we start to ride towards Torro’s land I see Irik riding towards us as if he is on his way back to the the King’s stay. “Mr. Sevo stop here please. “Huh?” Stop here quickly please. As Mr. Sevo stops I quickly jump out to confront Irik for standing me up for breakfast.
He looks puzzled as he sees me step out of the carriage. “Ariah what are doing so far from the King’s Gates?” Really Irik, are those the right words after standing your friend up? “ I didn’t stand you up Ariah. I sent word to you after I was told the friendship would be seen as inappropriate amongst the village. I know that it isn’t fair, but I don’t ever want King JoLe to have to question can I be trusted among his wives.”
Irik who was it that told you the friendship is inappropriate? Considering we are family here in Yisraem and King JoLe chose me as his wife with the knowledge that we were great friends since I arrived back in Yisraem almost 5 years ago. “It was Queen Iza whom informed me of the problems our friendship could cause. Even if she is wrong more time is needed for you, her and King JoLe to learn each other before we could even consider being friends as we once were.
A man must not spend too much time with a married woman alone. Even I know this, Ariah. It is not wise. Our village is strong for three reasons outside of the divine guidance of Elohiym. Those reasons are integrity, loyalty, and trust. Now I will always love you as a friend Ariah, but you must return to the King. You are there for a reason. Listen to the guidance of Elohiym. We must all play our part. When the time is right you will understand the true meaning of your place here in Yisraem.
Although circumstances that brought you back are brutal, somehow you made it back to Yisraem. You know that you are home here. King JoLe will be a proud man when he learns his commitment to honor your father will also be his honor.” Irik, I don’t know what to say about all of this, but something tells me that I should take heed of your words. After confronting or should I say being confronted by Irik’s words of wisdom I decided to turn back. I still don’t believe Queen Iza’s meddling is for the right reasons, but I do believe through good and evil Elohiym’s will, will be done.
